I fitted a kiwiprop 5 years ago. It is a feathering propeller, quite good, a 20% increase in sailing performance as any folding or feathering propeller would do. I particularly like the ability to manually adjust pitch for individual tuning to the boat. However, I have just had a second propeller overhaul bill from the importers of 300 pounds in 5 years. They say work was needed as I missed an internal grease point , but I really felt I had completed their greasing routine?? So yes- the kiwiprop is good, follow their recommendations on greasing , also their recommendation on propeller blade size, and pitch setting. But there is the occasional overhaul bill. This was manifested by a developing poor performance in astern position.
