I can suggest a quick fix as I have a very tiny leak in my fridge which necessitates annual topping up! If you use a clamp meter on the positive cable and switch on the power supply and you get a low reading eg 2amp then you have lost some refrigerant. You can either call in a professional to recharge it or buy a small R134A canister, attach a charge line, purge the line and attach it to the charge point on the compressor and introduce a little refrigerant at a time while monitoring the power load on the clamp meter. Once it re-starts with about 4amp you should be almost there and the evaporator should start cooling. Do the job slowly as only a little gas will be needed. VIP read instructions on refrigerant canister on which way to hold it, upright or inverted, as you mustn’t introduce liquid refrigerant when recharging system!
