Got fed up with the double galley cupboard doors snagging with anything on the worktop, so converted them to sliding doors. A very easy job which took a few hours at a lazy pace. Now I don't need to clear the worktop every time I want to get something from the cupboard.
Here's how I did it:
1. remove the hinges from the the doors and frame
2. remove the push button catch - leave the chrome ring
3. screw timber base at edge of worktop
4. screw fix at ends aluminium single channel top and bottom of cupboard frame - channel used light weight aluminium 2 cm wide.
door 1 slides within the rebate of the existing frame. Door 2 slides in the channel. I have stops in the channel ends to stop the door 2 from sliding out.
