Bavarian 36

Hello, I would like to know what size of sail drive is on my recently  purchased Bavaria 36 2 cabin with Volvo MD2030  with 2 blades prop with ambassador  rope cutter, so I can purchase the correct size of anode prior to lift out, thanks David

It's written on the type label, which you can find on the top of the saildrive (the gearbox).

You will need a modified anode with a cutout to make space for the stripper. Available from Ambassador. If the drive is original it will be a 120 - easy to identify because it is one piece

Hi Thanks for the replies, after a bit of research  not is it only the slot that is different  but I believe  that the side wall is machined down to make it thinner as I have seen some posts that say they cannot  reverse, they are twice price so that may be the reason

Yes, the recess is also machined out for clearance of the rotating cutter. Not sure what you mean by not being able to reverse as the shaft does not move backwards and forwards - just rotates in the opposite direction. This is unaffected by the cutter.
