We have a 2003 Bav 36 with a single aft cabin and aft heads. Since we bought her in 2006 I have always been annoyed by the heads floor which slopes away from the shower pump sump. So after washing the floor one is left with a pool of water at the aft, outboard corner of the floor. Then it needs a squeegee to herd the water to the sump while pushing the shower pump button.
I am told that this is a ‘feature’ of this model.
Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix?
There are really only seem to be two solutions that I can see and one of them is not to drill a hole so that the water drains into the bilges!
1. Cut out the floor, reposition the sump and reinstall the floor. Or reinstall the floor with an appropriate slope.
2. Build up the floor so that it slopes appropriately.
The second sounds a better and cheaper bet. I am determine to find a cure!
