Hot water system

I have a Quick hot water heater on our Vision 42 2013.
240 volt (Australian voltage)
It’s worked great until yesterday. Trips the fuse soon as we turn it on.
Any ideas as to what’s going on.
Cheers

Indeed....This happened to ours.
When I withdrew the element it had shorted internally and blown a big hole that almost severed it....The RCD saved the day..

If it looks anything like mine, yes, replace it. I hardly recognized as a heater element and it was obvious why it would short-circuit. Looked more like a coral reef :-)

Got mine replaced 3 years ago. Asked first for a replacement for an original replacement for the quick boiler, which could have cost me an arm and a leg.
Did some recherche in the net and found a matching part for 1/3 of the price.
