Lidl spray varnish is a very good match. Geoff

I don't think the panels are varnished in the conventional sense. The top layer is a very thin - and I mean very - layer of a reconstituted wood called Alpi which is tolled on and may contain a chemical that gives it a semigloss finish. Very different from the J&J boats which have a solid veneer top layer and is relatively easy to match. The solid wood trim is easier to match with Ronseal satin finish.

At least on our boat the in-line water filter just twists open / splits in the middle to reveal steel mesh filter element for cleaning. Two spoonfuls of water always spill out but easily caught by a towel.
