Squeaking sound from bulkhead and deck
« on: July 17 2021, 10:57 »
Hi to all ,
Does anybody had experience and repair of squeaking sound on the fore part of the deck when some one walks ( especially heavy ) . It started when I had some guests that for a week were working up on the fore part of the deck . I believe that the white joining glue / gum on the joint of deck and bulkhead might is at the end of its life .

We had one where the deck rests on the heads bulkhead. As the area was somewhat accessible, I glassed the bulkhead to the deck and that was that.

Meanwhile another squeak has appeared in a more difficult to access area. Appears to be just a piece of wood trim rubbing against the inner GRP mould, so I might just remove the trim there.

Hi ,
Should be glassed or just glued with an semi elastic material ? Like how many layers of glass , 2-3 ?
