Cutlass Bearing
« on: February 04 2022, 03:04 »
Hi all, hauling out soon and thought it would be a good idea to replace the cutlass bearing on my 2002 Bavaria 50 while replacing the shaft seal.
I know it’s a 50mm shaft (so internal diameter not a problem) but have no idea of the external diameter for the bearing without hauling out first.
The item would need to be sourced offshore (I’m in Fiji) and hauling out twice would be inconvenient.
Thought I’d ask the brains trust first…
Also, brass or phenolic?

Standard shell diameter is 70mm and length 200mm can't see any reason why it should not be standard as listed in the catalogues. Your choice - brass shells are perhaps more common.
