Lewmar handle alignment
« on: August 09 2021, 22:59 »
The handles on some of our hatches seem misaligned to the cams on the underside of the deck. Take the one in the photo, the latch no longer connects with the hatch in any way, which could lead to it leaking or being ripped clean off.

Anyone else had this or have and suggestions for moving the hatch over?

Never seen that before.  Is there any slop in the hinges?

Maybe the hole got elongated where the handle is screwed through the hatch.

Our hatches, I'm sure like all hatches have very little play between the hatch itself and its frame when closed, so I can't see the hinges being involved as long as the hatch actually closes snugly.... That leaves Yngmar's suggestion as the most plausible......Bill
