Fridge packed in
« on: July 04 2021, 13:08 »
Help. Our fridge just stopped working. I've checked the 12v supply and its ok. Have put an led to test between small + and D terminals as per danfos diagnostic site but I didn't get any blink code.
Also put a link across c & t terminals to take the thermostat out of the system, should run permanently  to do the test. But nothing runs. Any ideas?

No diagnostic LED and no action in presence of good power supply means the fridge controller has died.

If your compressor is a Danfoss/Secop (most of the rebadged boat friges from Weco, Frigoboat, Penguin, etc. are), then this is the unit you need: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273083414314

Phil, if your boat is still at Conwy Marina, there is a firm of refrigeration engineers, J.D. Refrigeration based at Conwy Road, Mochdre if your system needs re-gassing.

Only just seen this . It is worth taking a separate supply via croc clips direct from  the battery if a fridge fails to start . On my fridge the electronic low volt disconnect was fast enough to not show on a voltmeter , the multiconnector in the electrics cupboard was corroded. Geoff

Tried all the tests etc. Put a new control on last Sunday all seems to be working again.
Thanks for the advice
Phil.
