Replacing battery charger B39Cr
« on: June 02 2021, 10:45 »
Anyone know where the wire from the charger is terminated on the house bank? Is it at the main switch terminal? If so - Any ideas on how to access that area?

Should have mentioned in my post, but I've already looked there. I see the sense wire from the alternator there, but not charge wire from charger or alternator..

I own a B37CR 2006. Getting access removing the radio, open Panel 301 there are 4 bolts holding 220V Panel. Removing it. taking it out.
Than you have access to the area. I have made some pictures with my smart phone to image the situation. than i have made all necessary changes to install LiFePo4

I changed the charger on my Bav39 2006, I cut the AC  wires from the old charger and fitted a UK socket on them and just plugged the new charger into that as it came already fitted with a UK plug.

To anyone finding this thread in the future I can indeed confirm that the battery charger is attached at the main switch behind the trim at the nav desk.

Ziffius: I’m switching to Lithiums and need to move the charge cable in front of a Victron Battery protect im also installing (BP does not like reverse current through it)

On my B36(2002) the battery charger was permanently wired into the back of the mains breaker switch such that the charger was permanently on and charging whenever the mains cable was plugged into the shore power supply. I didn’t like that system and so I fitted an illuminated switch for the battery charger such that I could choose whether to have the charger in operation or not while the mains cable was plugged into the shore supply.
