Cutlery Drawer Tidy
« on: April 11 2021, 17:07 »
Hi all, probably a bizarre question but I’m sure answered somewhere. Has anyone found a cutlery drawer thingy to arrange all those knives, forks and spoons etc we have onboard to fit the Bavaria drawers?

Cheers

On my old 37 (2001) I used one from Ikea. Just a matter of going through the usual kitchen shops and finding one that suits. Unlikely to be an exact fit, though.

Just a random plastic cutlery trays from a random shop :)

The top drawer already had wooden separators built in, so it went in the 2nd from the top.

Unfortunately I dont have a photo, having sold the boat last year, but I made up a lift out additional cutlery tray from plywood. This had my own arrangement of sections to suit knives, forks, spoons, teaspoons etc for day to day needs, while the existing drawer divisions remained below the new lift section, and contained less frequently used cutlery items. Having the lift out section also made better use of the volume of space that the cutlery drawer occupied.
