Bavaria 30 Calorifier

Basically I think I need a new one, my current one seems to leak, all the joins have been welded up but still no luck.

I can't see a mains cord on this one? Can someone explain?

2) Is it the right size? 10L?

You have to wire in your own cord.

10 litres seems very small, but going by the dimensions I get 30 litres; I guess the difference could be insulation. There are more options on the Sure Cal web site.

Can any other Bav 30 owners advise the make/ capacity of their calorifiers? Its apparent the surecal 22L one, is slightly too big to fit. Any advise?

Don't have a 30, got a 38 but we replaced the original calorifier with a Quick one a couple of years back.  I measured the original one and the space if was installed in before buying the Quick one (IIRC its a 20 litre one); if was slightly larger than the original but would fit in the space vacated by the old one.  What I'd neglected to do was to measure the gap into the space for the thing; marginally too small (like say about 15mm).  I  used a Dremel to cut away a thin strip of GRP to widen the gap and the thing went in no trouble after that. 

There are so many calorifiers out there, its probably better to do a search for one of more or less the right size and be prepared to widen the gap slightly if required if you find one that'll fit the whole but not the entrance way.

I think Isotemp Slim are the slimmest models on the market.
But might be too long for you ?

If your old boiler was QL. As Bavaria-Yachtbau typically factory installed.
Size must be 20L. Measurements  355x410  (dia , length)
If Isotemp is too long. Choose Quick.

QL heater was made by Sigmar. Sigmar new models measurements are more than those was before.
Quick heater still look like QL heaters before. Measurements are also less than old QL.

My old QL was 28cm high & 55cm long.

The Isotemp 15L is 29.5cm high and 50cm long, however as you suggested the isotemp slim 20L is the same height, however 63cm long, so that would indeed be too long.

Managed to fit the isotemp slim 15L ok, took a few hours by the time I had modified the pipes & a few fittings, but now have a non leaking calorifier!
