I'm going to have to move my boat to a swing mooring as soon as restrictions allow. Because of this I won't have the chance to measure for mooring strops.
I'm thinking of having a heavy rope bridle tied between the two cleats and then attach the mooring strops to that in the middle (with appropriate antichafe measures). This is so I can run them both through the bow roller rather than the fairleads.
I don't suppose anyone knows or could hazard a guess at what lengths I'd need please? Or knows the approx freeboard at the bow roller? The mooring strops will be connected to a swivel under the buoy...
