Panel 301 gets warm
« on: July 08 2014, 22:52 »
I would really appreciate some help.  I have noticed that Panel 310 (ie the 12 v side) is getting quite warm - pretty sure this is fairly recent fault.  When de-powered (main isolater under chart table switched off) there is no problem.  It also gets warm with nothing on the panel selected 'on'.  Do they have heat sinks?  Difficult to gauge exactly where heat emanating from, although there seems to be quite a hot spot on part of the circuit board when open up.

Any clues/steers gratefully received.

This is the manual with the electronic circuits in it, may be of use. Ive never had any heat issues with mine and has extra equipment installed via the panel.

Stevie - many thanks, very useful.

If anyone else has any thoughts, or feedback on whether their panel is slightly warm (in case this is normal and I am just worrying too much!)  that would be useful too.  Many thanks.
