Chain counter Lofrans windlass
« on: September 12 2020, 09:29 »
Maybe someone can help me out. We have a 2005 Bavaria 42 Cruiser
Do anyone know the cable plan for the windlass and where the remote control is connected in at the bow?
The cable for the remote is going inside at the bulkhead to the forward cabin. The question is where do I find the cable in the forward cabin.
I would appreciate your help.

Hi, I have a 2005 39 cruiser which I imagine is similar. You will need to remove the vinyl covered panel to access the wiring behind it.

Thanks a lot for the information. I thought that it could be behind the front vinyl wall but was not sure.
This will save some time.

Guys, their are lots of areas where over the years different owners have had similar problems and where these have been recorded in the various places. However, this website has a very powerful search facility in the top right corner of  every page. If you enter something like for example, “Windlass wiring” into the search facility and then select search, everywhere where windlass wiring is mentioned will be displayed for you to go to and which can be hugely helpful in searching out the information you are after.

Tried that first but found nothing, otherwise I would not add this post.
But thanks anyway
