alternator alarm

Alternator alarm does not sound when engine shut down on my Volvo 2030 .
Any ideas?

If you check alternator output voltage and it's 14+V, most likely the alarm module on the back of the engine panel. It's a common issue with either the buzzer, the alarm module circuit or both.

Could running the engine with shore power still connected cause problems ?

No, you should not have any problem while running with shore power together.
