2004 Bavaria 32 listing to starbord
« on: July 10 2023, 00:13 »
I have a 2004 Bavaria 32 that has a persistent list of 3 to 4 degrees to starbord. I have 2 AGM and 1 starting batteries, fuel tank and tank for the WC on that side. Water tank is on the port side and even when full does not correct the list. Is there a remedy or should I add some lead to the port side?

I found that various stuff adds to generate listing. For example here's a list of all the heavier stuff I'm carrying around:

- spare anchor
- spare fuel
- tools
- gas bottles
- spare parts
- outboard engine
- water/beer bottles
- scuba gear (tank, lead)
- electric scooter
- ropes, lines

Maybe you can start with moving around some of these things before adding additional weight?

Our B39 2006 has always listed to Starboard. It’s something you learn to live with.

Pretty standard for the reasons you mentioned. Difficult to change because there is little you can do to add weight permanently to the other side. Has no effect on the performance of the boat so just live with it.

We have same issue with batteries, fuel tank, lockers all on SB side. We even had to raise the waterline as the waterlevel was above the AF line and always fouling.
