Like most Bavarias, they are very honest boats and do exactly what they claim. Family cruisers for (in UK terms) coastal and offshore cruising such as cross channel. Nothing specific to look for that a good inspection and survey won't pick up. Most were well equipped when new, but extras such as electric windlass, folding propeller and upgraded sails worth having. At 15 years you are looking at the time when many things start to need replacing or upgrading, such as sails, rigging, electronics and possibly upholstery. Engine and saildrive should not cause any problems, although it would be useful to have evidence that the seal has been replaced as it is certain to come up (like the rigging) in the surveyors report and your insurance may want it changed if not recent. Most components and gear are from major suppliers so are usually easy to source. This forum is active and seems to sort any problems that might arise.
