Efficient use of Cockpit Locker

I am looking for storage ideas how to efficiency use the space in our deep cockpit locker (starboard) on our 2006 B37Cr.
We store sails, mooring lines, fenders, fishing rods, spare companion way hatches, safety rings, MOB recovery gear etc. and would love to see some photos of what others have done to use this space efficiently.
I am prepared to do simple mods, and more elaborate mods including f/glass where required.

good post.  I'd like to see some ideas on this, too.  The previous owner used 3 plastic milk crates for a variety of things and we've continued similarly.  Everything else is just piled on top of these, including water hoses, brushes, dinghy oars, a bucket (with cleaning supplies), a small wet and dry vacuum, and room for our shore power cord when underway.  Unfortunately, not much room left for fenders.  So, consequently, we just flip them over the lifelines or tie them to the pushpit rail hanging outside, aft.

Great question.  We've come up with nothing very creative outside of plastic bins to keep things organized.  Then its lines and fenders on top!

We use "Really Useful Boxes" from http://www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/uk/html/onlineshop/fullrange_rub.php for all our medium size parts, paint cans, etc. They're stackable, come in all sorts of sizes and pretty sturdy. The handles can be a bit annoying because they like to pop open when you drag another box over them, but stay shut otherwise. They also keep drips from above out and contain any spills inside.

The rest is a mix of nesting buckets and jerrycans. Large parts are stacked alongside the boxes, which organize the space. Some flatpack things (folding ladder and folding cart) are lashed along the bulkhead. The rest is chucked in there in some lose order, rarely used/heavy stuff like the spare anchor at the bottom and more commonly used stuff on top. Works okay. Once or twice a year it all comes out for cleaning and gets re-organized a bit.
