Circuit breakers - sourcing replacements
« on: March 08 2020, 02:04 »
1997 46E
I'd like to source replacement circuit breakers, and switches.

I removed 1 each of the rocker switches and circuit breaker (fuse). See the attached photos.

fuse/breakers:
dimensions 11 mm x 19 mm and 35 mm deep front to back

switch:
dimensions are 18.5mm x 12.5 mm, and 14.5mm for the “depth” front to back

TIA,

It’s possible to find most things on eBay if you type into their search bar the name and model number of the item you are looking for.
Failing that there used to be a firm called Radio Shack in the USA which was pretty good at sourcing all kinds of electrical and electronic components. I don’t  know if they still exist as their UK subsidiary (Maplin) went to the wall several years ago, but there’s bound to be an alternative.

Hello,
The switch, at least can be found at SVB24.com, with many Bavaria parts.

Some online components vendors that you can search:
digikey.com
mouser.com
rs-online.com
farnell.com

for the switch do a search for "SPST panel mounted switch".
the CB may be more problematic to find an exact match but these sites typically have the datasheets of the components so it will be possible to see the dimensions and other details to find a sutable replacement

Thanks everyone. I'll check those online component vendors. And I hadn't remembered to check svb24.com.

Radio Shack is "sort of" still around, but not anything like they were decades ago. Now, they're almost just a cell phone retailer...
