Does anyone know how this is operated by the system in regards to the on/off state? ie is there 12v to turn off or on etc.
Having had no problems for three years with my original MDI unit I have had a replacement under warranty MDI unit (the latest iteration in a long line of attempts to cure the failure problems) which cut out completely and required me to sail back home. However, 24 hrs later the system was back to normal. Volvo wont give me another unit as this one has not yet failed completely. I want to set up a system to allow me to motor if the same thing happens again. I have set up a push button link to the starter cables which works fine. But now I need to know how to rig the solenoid to let the fuel through so I can restart the engine again without all the electronics.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
