Removing teak deck

Has anyone removed the teak deck and used epoxy and paind to aquire a non skid finish or has your boat got this do you think it would affect the future value if done by a proffessional boat bulder

Yes.  Just did this and the new nonskid is a netting epoxied in the original pattern and painted in gelcoat color of your choice.  Looks like factory did it and definately increased the value of the boat.
