Fawo 12V ceiling lights
« on: December 06 2015, 21:01 »
Having finished my upgrade to new Dream Lighting LED lights, I have a box of Fawo chrome ceiling light fixtures left. These are currently equipped with 10W halogen bulbs (G4), but are well suited to upgrading with LED bulbs (the coin shaped ones work best).

They're from a 2001 Bavaria 40 Ocean, see photos. I've polished the photographed one to see how well they can be restored and you can see it came out fine. I've got 8 of these, the other 7 haven't been cleaned up yet but all are working fine and have spade connectors crimped on. The switches are working fine (one is newly replaced). Also have 4 spare matching switches (thanks to Nigel).

Asking £50 for the whole lot (prefer if someone took the whole bunch) or £7 per unit if there's more interest, plus shipping - or come pick it up in Brighton.

Do you know if those are the same ones for a 2000 42? If so I will buy all of them

Sold to Nigel who PM'd me first - sorry Killian! If it helps, I'm quite pleased with my new Dream Lighting LED fittings (which are flatter than the originals, so they do not enrage me by banging my bald head on a hot metal fixture): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dream-Lighting-Domelight-Downlights-Campervan/dp/B00WBF2Y88

ouch, guess I slept on the trigger. do the dream lighting LED fittings fit over the existing holes nicely ? believe it or not, Bavaria charges $70 for one of those light you sold. Im not surprised someone else jumped on them at your price. So i guess i would be more than happy to try something else. anyway you could put a picture of what they look like in your boat on here?

If anyone else wants light fittings similar to those that Yngmar advertised at the start of this thread, I've got a box full (14 light fittings) that I don't need any more.
Where original switches remain, they all work, on others the switches have been replaced with similarly sized and more robust ones obtained from Maplin. Most have warm white LED replacement lights within, and all will need to be polished.
Make an offer, plus postage or come and pick them up in Colwyn Bay.
All proceeds to go to the Lifeboats.

Since writing the above, I've found a few more light fittings, and parted with some. Currently I have 13 remaining and I'm asking £50 for the lot collected, or plus postage if they have to be sent.
