The only Bavarias that came with rigid glass windscreens from the factory are the Ocean series of the early 2000s. Those are Ertec screens, identical to the ones Hallberg-Rassy fitted at the time (spare parts are conveniently interchangeable). We have one and find the key advantage is that you can actually see clearly through glass, unlike the clear vinyl materials of sprayhoods. We have a canvas sprayhood on top of the windscreen, extending it, and find that a good combination. You can drop the canvas for ventilation and decreased windage (the glass windscreen front window also opens).
The one on your photo one is an obvious custom job, and a bit of an ugly one if you ask me. Might be convenient if you're sailing in a lot of very wet weather, but the windage is frightening and that guy can't even look at this sails from anywhere in the cockpit.
