Hatch under bunk forepeak.
« on: July 16 2018, 09:49 »
I have had a number of emails asking for details so thought it best if I post it again.

Hi there.

As you know there is a lot of wasted space under there.

Firstly you need to re-enforce the bulkhead by glueing and screwing a battens across and down to ensure the bulkhead keeps it's strength.

Tape up the area you are going to cut. Then draw a guide line for the jig saw to follow.

Drill a hole on the line to feed the jigsaw blade through.

When you saw make sure you think about the back of the jigsaw when you need to turn on the corners leave enough room.

My door comes out it's more convieient. I can store my 3mt dinghy 2 buckets, 3 fans, 1 jet wash, 1 40mt hose reel, 1 40lt water bottle, and it's not full.

Hope this helps
