Anodes
« on: May 23 2018, 09:12 »
Hi Everyone,
We have a Bavaria 38 2003 which is about to come out of the water. Where do I find out which anodes we need to buy?
Many thanks,

Yngmar

Look at the type label on top of your saildrive's gearbox. This will tell you which model saildrive you have, which determines the kind of anode you need.

If it has the original engine and drive (either a 2030 or a 2040 engine) it will need a one piece anode for the 120 saildrive. However if you have a rope cutter fitted you will need a modified anode available from www.ropestripper.com You will need to remove the propeller to change the anode.

Should perhaps have added that if you have a feathering or folding prop it may well have its own anodes.
