Disconnecting a ST60 close hauled instrument from a ST60 Wind instrument

I have both instruments in my binnacle as well as a tridata and autopilot in my B36 (2003)
Can you simply disconnect the close hauled instrument from the transducer connection or is it more complicated??
I need space for an Axiom 7 chart plotter
Thank you

The wind transducer needs to be connected to one of them. Whichever one you want to keep. Then the other one should only have the Seatalk bus, which you can safely remove.
