Arch for solar Panels

<< < (5/5)

SYJetzt:
For my arch there is work in progress.
Main frame made of 40x2mm AISI316.
3x300W solar
Davit for dinghy (Rib 290 with mounted 25HP outboard, total 150kg)
Mast for wind-gen
Mast for radar
Antenna mount

Pretty huge, but solar extends the area of bimini to the aft, which is fine in the med for shading the cockpit.
We prefered  an separated design for arch and railing.

A & A:

I am having an arch for solar panels and wind gen fabricated this summer on my Vision 46. Will be very similar in design incorporating the pushpit rails as you both have. I sent photos and concepts to my welder and discussed with him before we left the boat in April so I am confident he will be able to fabricate to a similar style and standard.

Will post photos once complete as it may help some aft cockpit boat owners too.

Hi Kibo,

just bought a Vision 46 and planning to install an arch. Would be interesting to see the results and hear about the experiences from your project!
