Companion way lighting
« on: December 14 2017, 11:37 »
hi All.

this is one of my latest mods. I found leaving the boat at night a real struggle as i always turn off the power and the boat is then in complete darkness, while negotiating steps, keys, a back pack and usually the garbage to be shucked away. so i bought these led lights, battery operated that can be stuck on the companion way. makes life so much easier, wonder why bavaria didnt fit them at factory.

regards

Abby

my problem was not leaving the boat but rather fumbling for the correct switch for the cabin lights when returning to the boat - so I installed a small led light equipped with an IR sensor above the panel - it is installed with the sensor pointing down so only when I reach my hand to the panel it turns on (it turns off automatically some time afterwards).
