standard horizon remote mike
« on: October 05 2017, 17:03 »
My standard horizon dsc radio with remote access mike is giving me gyp . I can only transmit from the base station,  the remote appears to transmit but only a click is heard by a listening station. Is there a test that I can do to check the serviceability of the mike/speaker [it appears to have a resistance of about 10 ohm but beyond that I am in the dark Geoff

I would think that if the listening end hears a 'click' then the unit is transmitting normally, could just be the mike in the remote, bad connection maybe?....

Had the same problem.
Gently clean the mike and cover with clingfilm.
Should sort it
