Zincs for MD22L + 120S-E + folding prop

I have a 2001 Bavaria 2001, with an MD22L engine and 120S-E sail drive.

Standard zincs for this drive+ 3 blade folding prop should be : fixed ring 876286, 3 piece split ring 3858399.

Has anyone come across a split ring kit that can be used instead of the fixed ring (876286). Lot of work for the diver to take off the prop every time the zinc needs to be replaced.

As far as I understood, there is no reasonable alternative to the fixed ring.

How often do you lift the boat to renew antifouling? Would it be a good interval for anode replacement as well? If not, can you extend the anode lifetime by using a hanging anode as suggested in the ybw thread?

What is the brand/model of your folding prop?

Do you know if it requires a larger one piece zinc behind the prop and then a 3 piece split ring zinc towards the front of the prop?

Mine is Volvo Penta 3-blade, did not check the diameter and pitch.

This model has a one piece ring anode behind the prop and line cutter, which is actually specific to the drive leg and a 3-piece anode attached to the prop body.

Images from back home, where the prop has been polished after being taken apart. Just noticed that there is a significant difference in blade shape and swivel pin locking screws compared to yours. My screws are 3 pcs cylinder head allen screw, where the cylinder head prevents blade pin from escaping. You seem to have 6pcs allen set screws, that physically push the blade pins?

Important you replace the ring anode on the saildrive immediately. You can already see corrosion starting on the housing because the anode is nearly expired and is probably not making good contact with the housing.

As far as I know there is not a split anode conversion for a 120 drive so you have to remove the propeller. You can increase the life of the anode by wiring a hanging anode to the gear box housing for use when the boat is moored. MG Duff are the anode experts and you can buy a hanging anode (as well as the ring anode) from them.
