Bavaria 36 2004 locker hinges
« on: September 27 2016, 19:44 »
Are these available other than from Bavaria agents (not even sure if it is possible to get such from them)?
A similar replacement?
Does not have to be identical - it is for a new opening that I want to make.

And does anyone know if they can be obtained in stainless steel as the ones on my B36(2002) are all going rusty.

Thanks Yngmar, but this does not seem to do the job.
This is a quite regular type used on house cabinets where the cabinet side is 90 degrees to the door, and also requires drilling a large pocket hole for the door side.
What Bavaria uses is a type with screws only, door and cabinet wall on same plane when closed  and a very small cabinet side part to fit in small places.
I found locally something almost similar, but still need to see what material it is and also the cabinet side is slightly larger than that used by Bavaria so have to check in my project if it fits.

Ah sorry. Mine from 2001 are like the linked, made by Würth and with the sunken bit that goes in a hole, just like household furniture. Except the linked one is in stainless (like Salty wanted).

Never seen yours before and it seems to be a custom job. Not on Bavaria+ either :-/

Not custom at all - this is in all the lockers on the boat. You may notice that there is a "BAVARIA" stamped on it, so possible that  Bavaria made a special order for such hinges.

That's exactly what I meant by custom. Custom for Bavaria, so hard to find on the market.

Just replaced hinges on kitchen cabinets. I gave up the search, they seem to be from Mars or Moon, not on the open market, only made by/for Bavaria. There are many surface mounted hinges but not the same size and measurements. On kitchen cabinets they are also 90° on one end. Still can be ordered by SVB as Bavaria spare part, since they are official spares dealer. I bought it from my Bavaria service guy in Izola, Slovenia.
