Lewmar throttle control
« on: September 01 2016, 09:58 »
I have recently replaced the gear change cable on our Bav 37 (2006), it has always been difficult to take it from drive to neutral hence the cable replacement. There seems to be a very small window between forward and reverse and despite changing the cable this has stayed the same so therefore it suggests I have not set it up correctly. Has anyone had a similar problem and what adjustments did you make to make the transition smoother and more defined, I have searched the net and Lewmar but can find no detailed set up instructions.

Other than adjusting the friction, there is nothing to adjust at the control head. The attachment points are fixed. It could be general wear on the pivot points and you might clean them and regrease.
