Deck Light
« on: August 22 2016, 08:07 »
Does anyone happen to know the part number for the Hella Deck Light?
Thought i would get a spare. Does a LED version exist?

Thanks.

If a LED version does exist check also the wiring to bulb
Filament lamps work with terminals reversed so either combination of terminals works.
LED lamps only work if terminal polarity is correct

It's a Hella FF work light. Mine had a corroded reflector and it was cheaper buying a whole new assembly including reflector on eBay than buying just the reflector as spare part.

I then replaced the halogen bulb with a cheap LED (a car headlight model, can't find the link atm), slathered everything in plenty of silicone grease and closed it up tight. It's been up the mast for a year now and through several storms - still working fine and lights the foredeck up brightly.
