Still thinking of sorting my cockpit table out, has anyone had any dealings with this company

I'm a bit wary as the teak grain/colour doesn't look so good in some photos and there is no online payment system in place -- have to fax your cc details!!

I once boot a small teak phone holder from them at Boot in Dusseldorf. The product is ok, but is a small one.

I've taken my cockpit table apart today for restoration (it is very poorly ). On the underside, I noticed a small brass coin with a makers mark. Turns out it was made by Sheraton Marine Cabinet, a company whose work I've seen exhibited at previous boat shows and looked pretty good there. One of the sizes is an exact replacement for the Bavaria plastic table.
They also have the hardware for installation if for some reason you do not have the original

The box aluminium under the leaf is for the front extension to slide into - works well. Expensive but when one doesn't have a workshop, tools, wood and expertise the wallet suffers.

I note that Yngmar's link is the same varnish and sander as the old guy who does boat shows and jumbles. Fascinating to watch.

I use a cheap oil drain pan for such jobs (including winch servicing). Keeps not only the dirt contained, but also the expensive little bits from hopping down the cockpit drains.

That'd be Brian. I've just been in Southampton yesterday and thanked him for the good advice he's given me (and his brother is the guy that does the Eberspächer repair advice part of the site). Turned out I wasn't the only one, two other bystanders chimed in with praise
