Remove Deck Skylight 2008 B39
« on: February 12 2016, 22:20 »
Seems that I have a rainwater leak at the forward cabin skylight ( not the forward hatch) on my 2008 Bav 39.   Is it easy to remove and reseal.

Yes and no (sorry about that). The headlining is the real issue (or was for me). It was a real pain to refit as it had been badly done initially and there is little option for alternate fixings. Re-aligning the screws is awkward and they are different lengths so make sure you make a note of what comes from where. The skylight itself is easy enough to remove though. My leak was through several of the deck screw fittings.
