Webasto AC reverse heat?
« on: December 11 2015, 02:49 »
I just placed an order for a Vision 46 with (3) AC units (total 30K BTU).  I was going to install an AC unit in my old boat which had a reverse cycle for heat.  Does anyone know if the Webasto AC units have a reverse cycle for heat?  There is temp controls; does a higher than ambient temperature kick in the units to provide heat?

If not, does anyone know about installing a heat unit that works with the new Webasto AC units?

Thanks!   S.

Hi Stuart (great name by the way) Can't answer your question re the Webasto AC but if you add say a diesel heater, be aware that it requires a different duct than they use  for AC to handle the higher temps from the diesel heaters.

Stuart,

Thanks for that bit of information.  I may freeze in this boat in Ohio; I can't seem to get the info regarding the AC units.  I have someone in Germany working on getting some answers.

Thanks Again.  S.
