My thank to "Sweet As" for the information he sent me and to say I have completed the job and can say my 3 mtr dinghy goes through the hatch and the storage space is now fully utilised.
This is part of a previous thread about doors in the fore peak.
I re enforced the inside top of the bunk with a cross member of 3" x 3/4" hard wood and the same as uprights, then cut a hatch in the bulkhead with a jig saw, its a new world to store in, totally under utilised until now.
I can email a set of photos, but be patient as we are sailing now for the summer
