VPP polar charts

I've asked to Bavaria but I haven't got an answer: anybody knows how to obtain the tables of the Polar charts for Bavaria 40 New Cruiser Farr?

Try Google there are several sites that have VPP charts. I found one for the 2009 B 40 Cruiser.

google has been my first try...but the ones I ve found are not related to the features  of mine avantgarde 40 with rolling mainsail etc...

It is not likely that you will find a polar chart specific to the rig options you have. Finding one that is close is your best staring point. Then record actual performance of your vessel and modify the polar chart to match.

Unlikely that many owners would be interested in polars for that sort of boat. There are computer programmes you can get to calculate theoretical polars from which you can then derive actuals from your own experience of your boat.

Perhaps cruising sailors are quite happy and content with the performance of their boats as they are. Perhaps all they want to do is to sail gently, sedately and safely without putting any more stress or strain on the boat and its rigging, and if it takes a bit longer to get from one point to another, the benefit is in taking part rather than trying to arrive first. Each to their own, but for those that want such a chart, good luck. I hope you find what you want, but while I'd be interested to see what information can be gained from such a chart, I won't be upset if I never see one.

of course polars are particularly useful for weather routing should you be doing any decent distances. I think they should be available.

The OP has chosen a boat with in mast furling, so would guess that high performance under sail is perhaps not high on his list of priorities. For most cruising sailors information on polars is as interesting as a 0-60 time for a car. There is a lot more to enjoyment out of a cruising boat than squeezing the last few fractions of a knot of speed.

There's a big difference between being interested in improving the performance of your cruiser and squeezing the last fraction of a knot out of her. I guess that's why most cruisers would avoid buying an ex-racing boat where overloading may have been an issue.
  Aquila's point is a good one , having a polar chart means you know your best point of sail to avoid some 'orrible weather, or to choose the fastest possible passage to obtain shelter if things look like going pear shaped.

Aquila has nailed it. I use polars for local routing when cruising around the Gulf St Vincent and further afar. Perhaps a bit of a hangover from race routing, and overkill, but it does provide peace of mind for passage planning.

That is the point... but the question is: where can I find them?

You could try contacting Farr Yacht Design via their website. Blur was where I found a Bavaria 38 polar which I have used for a starting point (attached). Other than that a pen and note pad to gather all the information.
