Garmin Auto Pilot

New Vision 42, Garmin auto pilot drops out without warning. Not good when motoring.
Has any Bavaria owners with this equipment had similar problems?

I experienced the same thing upon taking possession of my 2015 Bavaria Vision 42. It ended up being the motor drive unit, which the dealer replaced. This had occurred on another Vision 42 and it took them a long time to discover the faulty drive unit. Perhaps that will be a good place to start.

You may need to update the Garmin software too. I have had several updates that need to be done to fix bugs in the system. I go here to do this through my 820 plotter which is linked to the other systems IE the autopilot, radar, depth/speed/log/temp and wind.

Yes, it's well worth doing a regular update on all the Garmin systems.
