Furling mainsail endless circuit
« on: November 11 2015, 09:42 »
Sirs,
I recently become owner of a Bavaria 40 Avantgarde New 2012. It has a furling mainsail, that I've never had in the past, and I wish to put a question on the road the the endless line for in & out of the mainsail has to follow. In my Bav the line goes  with the 2 lines on the left of the Vang, whether I've see in a couple of videos that in other bavaria boats the line is divided on both side of the vang and in one cas the line passes also in through holes at the base of the vang. Would anybody know what is the right circuit? thx in advance

Doesn't really matter do long as the lines run freely. Normally it will be rigged as yours is, but some people like me have the furling lines on the starboard side. It is OK for them both to be on one side of the vang.
