BV 44 rigging question

Hi ,
I ve noticed that some 44’ have 3 crosses in the mast and ours 2 , what is the difference ?

There were several versions of the 44, some with a performance rig (3 spreaders), higher mast and deeper lead keel; but sorry, i don't have detailed specs of those.
