Fuel gauge replacement part: U.S.
« on: September 06 2021, 12:49 »
I am looking to replace the Turotest 10-180 fuel gauge in my 1999 Bavaria 38 ocean.

I found parts online in Germany, AU, ND, and NZ. But none so far in the U.S.

Does anyone IN.S have experience finding a replacement fuel gauge in the U.S.?

They're made in Brazil, so might be easier to import from there than from Europe: http://turotest.com.br/

As a follow on, the shipping from one company in Europe was quoted at 45 Euro.  I'll try the manufacturer and maybe find a U.S. outlet.  Thanks!

I have just been informed that the gauge shown on the web page is either discontinued or no longer shipping.  The web page is: https://klabauter-shop.de/en/6917/philippi-turotest-fuel-gauge-fuel.html

This is a logarithmic, 12 volt resistance reading fuel gauge that works in the range of 10 to 180 ohms.  It is 52 mm diameter.  Does anyone know of a replacement?

The only bavaria-specific part in this gauge is the scale of the instrument.
Check if you can open the instrument and get to the scale. If you can mount the scale of the old instrument in a new one, every linear 10-180 Ohm instriment will fit! Good luck!
