Ray marine st6000 series smart pilot location

I a, upgrading the autopilot from an ST4000 on a Bavaria 34 utilising an available smart pilot.

Those who have a similar system where do you locate the computer control unit?

ours is in the back ,open the service hatch in the port cabin to access steering and its mounted above the hatch opening.so slide in on your back and ours is there. haven't got any photos so hope this makes sense

Very much so makes sense. Where did you earth out the screening?

hi, sorry for delay in reply, unfortunately I cant answer that, it was already fitted when we bought the boat, I would assume it goes back to the main negative bus bar but that's just a guess.
