Bavaria 31 Cruiser 2007 Batteries
« on: January 19 2021, 22:24 »
We recently bought our new boat and I'm getting to know the boat step by step.
The boat is fitted with quite a lot of options an therefore I’m investigating the 12V system, and would like some help from other 31 Cruiser owners.

When I read the schematic's I doubt where the batteries are located.
I have 3 batteries installed:
-   12V 50Ah for the Bow thruster in the bow of the boat
-   12V 55Ah (I thought) for the starting of the engine (Starboard side)
-   12V 180Ah  (I thought) for household function (Port side)

But when I read the schematics from "Instruction Manual for Operating Panel 301 and 302 " it's drawn the other way around.
It would be strange to install 180 Ah for a starting battery and 55 Ah for a household battery.

Who could tell me the correct function for the batteries based on the location Starboard side / Port Side?

I have adjusted the drawing to the situation for our boat.

The diagram is wrong. The 55AH is the start battery and the 190AH is the house. 50AH sounds a bit small for the bow thruster - my 33 has a 95AH AGM, but it is CCA that is more important than AH capacity for a bow thruster.
