Emergency tiller
« on: November 26 2020, 18:48 »
After a thorough research on the internet, I ordered a stainless steel inspection hatch for the emergency tiller operation.
Last weekend I mounted this in the deck hatch.

Nice work. Bit slippery perhaps?

I was breaking my plastic covers every year or so, just by walking on them.

There are a number of metal covers that should fit. Mine use the 2 hole spanner to open up. Similar to the fuel cap but larger.

I haven't found it slippery but in the tropics, you can burn your foot on it because of the heat.
