Help needed with leaking calorofier
« on: March 16 2020, 18:58 »
The heater element started leaking this weekend and I'm struggling to sort it out.

The element itself just had a flat rubber washer, which looked a bit big (just cleared the threads though, so I assume it's the right size).

I was surprised to see a rubber washer, and would have thought it would be a fibre washer.

I tried giving the threads a good going over with PTFE tape, which helped, but it still leaked when put under pressure.

Looking online, the elements seem to be sold with the flat washer, and also what looks like an O ring.

Am I missing the O ring?  If so, can anyone help with what size the O ring is.

Thanks all

Bob
