MEPS 6kW Installed on a Vision 46
« on: June 17 2019, 14:15 »
MEPS 6kW running off the Volvo D2-55. Anyone else do this?  Videos and pics on:

Love it so far!  38 Lbs, no thru hulls, no addition exhaust port, no extra Diesel engine (or maintenance), no additional 350 lbs. Will run just after dark to cool or heat the cabin, charge the batteries and cook. Link is to Bavaria Yachts Facebook page.
Cheers,  Stuart  (Sofia)

Will run just after dark

Don't anchor near us :-P

I'm really happy with our 600W solar system, which easily covers all of our power needs quietly and the only maintenance is 5 minutes cleaning the panels if it hasn't rained in a few weeks :)

Why?  Engine running can’t be heard outside of the boat. Leaving the gas dock they ask us to turn on the engine. Can’t run AC on batts!  Those wind turbines is what makes noise, not our main engine!

I like my 6.5 kW genset. Much quieter than the engine too. (inside and out)
